GET CRAFTY !

I may not have mentioned this earlier but I love crafts. Infact I have decided that from time to time I will include posts with ideas on how to make trendy things. Hopefull we'll save some money too. I have already published a short Blog post on how to make similar Pearl Hair Pins as those featured on the Chanel SS 2012 catwalk show.

I was sent an email notifying me about  crafts that I may be interested to take part in. As I have two very young girls who love to do crafts, I thought it would be a great opportunity try this out and spend quality time together.
This is not a sponsored post, I haven't been asked to feature it either. Purely my own opinion. I like the ideas and the free templates, so I thought I'd share the info. This is a well known soft drink brand, Fanta, which has come together with a well known British interior designer and television presenter, Linda Barker, to create a bunch of fun packs which can be downloaded for free and use the information as many times as you like. It's a great way to keep kids and teens busy especially during holidays when I struggle to find something new and inexpensive to try.

Kim Kardashian, Gül Saygı and Feryal Gülman.
One reality tv star and the other ladies are famous in Turkey as a tv actress and a well known member of the society.

I have been itching to see who these Turkish Ladies would be compared against from Hollywood. To be honest they love it if and when they are snapped wearing the same outfit as a Hollywood A-List star, however I'm sure they don't think of KK as an  A-Lister.

Who Wore it Better? Just for the attitude she gave in the picture I'm going for Gül Saygı with her fierce pose in the middle picture.

MICRO TREND: PEARLS IN YOUR HAIR - SAÇLARDA CHANEL İNCİLER

Chanel catwalk featured models with pearls in their hair for the Spring 2012 show.

So you too can follow this trend with minimal cost. Go through your draws, we all have a loose pearl from a necklace and a hair pin laying in the bottom. You will also need a beading wire or a thin wire from a hardwear store.

Sevgili okuyucularim Chanel İlkbahar 2012 defilesinde saçlarda bolca inci boncuklar kullanılmışdı. Bu akımı takibe alamnız çok kolay ve az yada hiç masrafla elde edilebilir bir trend. Hadi çekmeceleri karıştırın, mutlaka bir siyah tel toka ve kolyeden kopan bir kaç inci boncuk bulacaksınız. Çoğumuzun evinde takı yapımında kullanılan ince telde vardır. Yoksa en yakın hobi market yada nalburdan bile elde etmeniz mümkün. Hadi hünerlerinizi ortaya çıkarın. 

All you have to do is wire the pearl beads onto the hair pins and voila!

From Left to Right;

Model and WAG Abbey Crouch (wife of footballer Peter Crouch), ,  Jennifer Lopez and Turkish Socialite Feryal Gülman.

Abbey Crouch is too thin for the dress. She is like a stick insect with no womanly curves, Jennifer Lopez on the other hand is too big for her dress. Yes she is famous for her curves but she could have chosen a dress cut that would have emphasise her curves positively. Rather than make her dress look like it's about to rip. Feryal Gülman looks fabulous she fits into the dress perfectly.

No need to mention who is my favourite!

Soldan sağa Abbey Crouch model ve WAG (Futbolcu Peter Crouch'un eşi) Diğerlerini takdim etmeme gerek varmı?

Abbey Crouch elbisesi için fazla zayıf hatta çekirge gibi ve hiç de güzel bir görüntü sergilemiyor. Kadınımsı hatları neredeyse yok. Jennifer Lopez ise elbise için fazla iri neredeyse elbise yırtılacak gibi.

Feryal Gülman ise muhteşem. Tabiri caizse elbisesi cuk diye vücüduna oturmuş. Favorimi açıklamama gerek varmı?

Sizlere bu yazımı sunduktan sonra,Victoria'nın Çin için hazırlanan Harper's Bazaar dergisinin resimleri internette yayımlandı. Şahsen Çin HB editöryeller daha çok hoşuma gitti. Fotoğraflar Chen Man tarafından çekilmiş.

Victoria Beckham Harper's Bazaar dergisinin Mayıs ayı için kapak yıldızı olmuş. Başlık olarakda ''Kraliçe Victoria Moda dünyasını fethetti''yazılmış. Lütfeeen, kim öldüde onun yerine kraliçe ilan edildi? Ayrıca hangi ara Karl Lagerfield, Marc Jacobs, Vivienne Westwood, Valentino Garavani ve diğerleri gibi isimleri yenipde Moda Dünyasını ele geçirdi?

Tamam, bir çoğumuzun bu kadın ilgisini çekiyor, kendisi ünlü bir pop grubu üyesi ama solo kariyerinde başarılı olamamış birisi. Eşinin futbolcu olması ikisinin paparazzi dünyasının ilgisini çekmesine neden oldu. WAG (Eşler ve Kızarkadaşlar)olan alaycı bir kelime ile anılan Victoria ta ki bolca para ve iyi bir bağlantı olan menajer Simon Fuller ile tekrar iş birliğine geçene kadar bu lakabdan kurtulamadı. 

Bu sayede Beckhamlar kendilerini iyi bağlantıları olan birkaç kişi ile alakadar etmeye başladılar. Tom Cruise ile verilen pozlar, Katie Holmes ile yapılan defile turlarını hatırladınızmı? Şimdilerde ise Holmes kendini bu WAG den uzak tutuyor.

Sağlam bağlantıları olan diğer isimler modacılar  Roland Mouret ve Marc Jacobs. Telegraph gazetesinin yazarı Belinda White'ın 05 Ocak 2011 tarihli yazısında Roland Mouret'in kendisine aynı sorunun sorulduğunu,  Victoria'nın ilk moda dünyasına kendini fırlattığı defilesi için, elbiseleri tasarladın mı diye sorulmasından oldukça bıkmış olduğunu yazmış.

'' Mouret şu cevapla neredeyse bağırarak açıkladı: Aman Allahım yine mi aynı soru?

Politikacılar, film yıldızları hep aynı soruyu soruyor bende neden? Neden Victoria Beckham için koleksiyon hazırlamak isteyeyimki?''

''Evet arkadaşım ve evet fikir danışıyor bende ona kesimci ismi verdim, ama danıştığı bir çok isim var - Marc Jacobs. İnsanlara yardım etmeyi seviyorum hepsi bu.''

Victoria Beckham kendisinin çizim yapamadığını ama bir çok modacınında yapamadığını itiraf ediyor.

''Çizim yapmıyorum ama bir çok modacıda yapmıyor. Etrafıma birşeyler sarıyorum, fikirleri deniyorum, herşeyi güzelleştirmek, ve kadınlara kendilerini güzel hissettirmek istiyorum.''

Bu sözler herşeyi açıklıyor. Kıyafet tasarımı o kadar da zor değilmiş. Yapılması gereken tek şey, etrafına biraz kumaşı dola ve güzel göster. İnşallah başkalarıda bu yeteneğinin farkına varır ve seni ödüllendirir. Tıpkı Victoria'ya olduğu gibi.



Modacının daha birçok açıklaması Harper's Bazaar dergisinin 124. sayfasında mevcut.

''Biz sıkça espiri olarak diyoruz ki  yanımızdaki 17 yaşında 1,80cm boyunda muhteşem güzellikdeki modelin giysisi için ''Tamam bende giyeceğim ve ben genel halkı temsilen yapıyorum'' Ben böyle çalışıyorum.''

Gerçekçi ol Victoria. Sen 6 (34)beden vücüdünla İngilterede ki genel halkı temsil etmiyorsun, ki onlar ortalama 16 (44) beden ve genel halk 1000 Sterlin(3000TL) olan elbiselerle ortalıkda dolaşmıyor! Ne senin elbiselerine sığar nede alabilir. Cidden yani!

Bayan Beckham başarısının tadını çıkara dursun bizde onun magazin resimlerine bakalım.

Since the publication of my post, Victoria's pictures for Chinese Harper's Bazaar became available online. I have to say I prefer these editorials to the British version.

 

Victoria Beckham is featured on the cover of Harper's Bazaar magazine May issue. The article is titled " Queen Victoria on Conquering The Fashion World". Pleaseee who died and made her Queen? And when did she beat designers such as Karl Lagerfield, Marc Jacobs, Vivienne Westwood, Valentino Garavani et al. to conquer the Fashion World?

OK so lot of us are fascinated by this woman, who was once a member of a famous girl group but could not achieve any success as a solo artist. The fact that her husband is a famous footballer made the two a source of interest for the paparazzi world. She was well known as a WAG (Wives and Girlfriends of footballers) until with the help of a lot of cash and some good connections such as Manager Simon Fuller.

The  Beckhams then began to associate their selves with a few more well connected people. Remember poses with Tom Cruise. How about the shopping and fashion shows attended with Katie Holmes, who seems to have distanced herself from the WAG.

Another of those well connected people are designers Roland Mouret and Marc Jacobs. According to an article published in The Telegraph,by Belinda White on 05 January 2011, Roland Mouret became increasingly fed up with everyone wanting to know whether he designed her dresses for the first collection when she hurled herself into the fashion scene.

" Mouret retorted with the following outburst: "Oh my God, that question! Politicians, movie stars, it's always the first things they want to know and I'm like, why? Why would I want to design a collection for Victoria Beckham?

"Yes she is a friend and yes she asks for advice and yes I told her the name of a pattern cutter, but she has lots of friends she asks for advice - Marc Jacobs. I like to help people that's all."

Victoria Beckham declares that she can't draw but neither can so many other designers!

"I don't draw, but nor do lots of designers. I tie things around me, I experiment with ideas and I try to work out a way to make everything flattering and make a woman feel beautiful."

So that explains it really. Designing clothes isn't that hard at all. All you need is to drape some fabric around you and make it look beautiful. Hopefully others will recognise your talent and give you an award. As they have in Victoria's case.



There's more revelations from the Designer, in Harper's Bazaar magazine on page 124.

" We always joke that we have this fabulously gorgeous 17-year-old model who is six-foot-whatever and I say "OK, I'm going to put it on. I stand for the general public here" It's how I work."

Get real Victoria. You at size 6 do not stand for the general public, who is an average size 16 in UK and the general public do not walk around in £1000 plus dresses. They can't fit into or afford your dresses. Seriously!

So while Mrs Beckham bathes in the glory of her success! We can look at her poses for the magazine.

Lastly, I can't help but think what a transformation she's had since the photo below.
