SEASONAL MUST HAVES 3: Forties Glamour /1940,lar ŞIKLIĞI

If you want to look bang on trend for Winter 2011/2012 then look no further than the 1940's. This was a big trend last winter. It got even bigger this winter.

The Forties trend is a fully-dressed affair - pencil skirts, Fitted jackets, fur(Faux please), shrugs, pearls, gloves and a slim belt are all required extras. Not to forget dramatic lips.

Gucci have incorporated bright colours, texture with it's use of leather and fur into this look.The bags and knee high boots are key looks in Gucci's interpretation of the trend. We also dramatic lips, again this was an essentual look of the early forties.

Ayrıca dudaklarda dram olması gerek ki bence harika bir görünüm.

Donna Karan has interpreted the Forties Trend with soft and pastel colours. We see texture in lots of silks, sheer fabrics and knitwear, quite opposites but work beautifully. Key accesories are gloves, belts,fur and pearls.

Donna Karan bu trend için pastel ve yumuşak renkleri tercih etmiş. Ayrıca ipek, şeffaf kumaşların yanısıra örgü de çok kullanılmış zıt ama uyumlu bence.

My favourite Forties look on the catwalk came from MIU MIU. The pieces are very wearable, smart yet casual and can be adapted from day into night.

Bu trend akımınıda benim favorim MIU MIU. Parçalar rahat ve giyilebilir ayrıca şık ve aynı zamanda gündüzden geceye kolayca taşınabilir.

Louis Vuitton have been very futuristic interpreting the look.  We see the Forties in the silhoutte of the pieces, but LV has added a twist to the whole look. Overall it's very theatrical.

AUTUMN'S "FALL"EN COLOURS

So Halloween is upon us. While the kids dress up in their fancy costumes, I felt we could dress in the season's colours at least on "All hallows' eve" to mark the day.
I always feel Halloween marks the end of Autumn/Fall. It's downhill from there weatherwise, at least in Britain as we are beginning to feel the chill. Brrrrrrr...

J'ADORE GLAMOUR

I love a bit of glamour. Who doesn't? I have put together this set to show what glamour is for me. This reminds me of old Hollywod glamour.

SEASONAL MUST HAVES 2; Fashion Trend: Houndstooth

Houndstooth is a pattern that will never date. It is in keeping with another trend of this season; The Monochrome look.  When teamed with other colours it looks great. To avoid looking like Cruella DeVille I say definately mix it up with other colours.

Houndstooth, yada köpekdişi modeli bu sezonun tirendlerinden biri daha. Ayni zaman da siyah beyaz trendinide bünyesinde barındırıyor. Cruella Deville gibi görünmek istemiyorsanız başka renkler mesela Kırmizı ile eşletirin.

BRITISH FAVOURITES

 Burgundy is one of the trendy colours this season. I have teamed it up with emerald green, one of my favourite colours and another trend, Platform Loafers.


Bordo bu sezonun trend renklerinden. Favori renklerimden birtanesi olan zümrüt yeşili ile eşleştirdim. Birde yine trend olan platform loaferlar.

DARK BRIDE

   
White is the traditional colour for wedding dresses. Over the years we have seen near whites and ivory on brides. Vera Wang has included Black in her collection for wedding dresses. I'm sure fans of her dresses probably choose one of these as a ball gown but I can't wait to see a bride in one of these dresses. I still think this is one trend not many will follow.


Beyaz gelinler için geleneksel renkldir. Yakın zamnanlarda kırık beyazlar ve kremlerde gelinlerin terci olarak çok kullanıldı.
Vera Wang gelinlik koleksiyonu için siyah kullanmış. Eminim ki onun elbiselerini sevenlerden birisi bu siyah elbiselerden birisini gece kıyafeti olarak kullanır ama bunu taşıyacak bir gelini görmeyi çok istiyorum. Yinede bu trendin çok kişi tarafından takib edilecegini sanmıyorum.

Snakeskin is, in my opinion, best worn when as an accessory to complement your outfit or as a statement piece. Do Not wear it head to toe or you'll end up looking silly like J-Lo.

Yılanderisi, bence sadece kıyafetinizi tamamlayan bir aksesuar yada tek başına iddialı bir parça olarak giyilirse başarılı bir trend. Sakın baştan aşagı giymeyin yoksa J-Lo gibi komik olursunuz

GLITTER GLITTER ! - PARILTILAR !

We know one the big trends this season is Glitter Shoes. MIU MIU have lead the way with these to die for shoe boots. At £555 or $875 approx, from net-a-porter it's not suitable for every girls budget. Thanks to Steve Madden at $169 £110 approx, you can perhaps get your feet into a pair without breaking your budget.

Bu sezonki büyük trendlerden bir tanesi Parıltılı ayyakabılar. MIU MIU bu akımın yaratıcılarından. Ama $ 875 civarı bir harcama hepimizin bütçesine uymayabilir. Yinede cebe fazla zarar vermeden Steve Madden sayesinde bu parıltıları ayağımızda görmek mümkün.
